Welcome to TOEI KYOTO STUDIO ACTOR CLUB
Thank you for visiting my site.
I have kept this blog about for 6 months.
Last week, when I was working as a Machimusume at Eigamura,
I met Australian tourists.
I talked with them and the end of the day,
I told them about this page.
( Becasue I thought this site might help them to get to know about a little of Japanese culture ans so on.)
However what they told me made me very happy!!
They had already visitied this page before coming to Japan!!
This encouraged me a lot!!
Little by little, this page is helping tourists who are thinking of coming to Kyoto!
From today ( July 1st), our actors sites are moved to new homepage.
this is the address….

1 With my older brother……

2 With my boy-friend….

3 ……..
This week, I joined 2 filming,
One is for TV show, and the other one is TVCM for Eigamura.
I acted with same cool actor (senior actor) in both of filming.
The first one is for 時代劇 (Samurai Period story) so that we were wearing the wigs.
He played my brother.
And other two pics, He played my boy-friend who didn’t know his girl-friend was actually a ghost.
It was very fun to play a ghost, ha ha.
You will see this TVCM from July 18th.
He is playing Chambara-show(チャンバラ教室)at Eigamura with me.
He’s roll is the hero of the show.

Help Me~~~~~~~!!!
Am I a good actress?? ha ha…..
I went to Toyko last weekend.
Unfortunately, it was raining though,
It was really fun:)
We went to Tokyo Tower, which is a typical sightseeing spot.
Because it was raining, we couldn’t see the good view.
However, luckey us,
There were some small events in the building of Tokyo Tower.
One of them was “Trick Art”, which you can see the pics.
There were many arts which you can enter, touch, or find the secrets.
Can you tell the trick of the first pic.??
It ia easy, isn’t it?
I was just lying down on the floor and acted as if I was falling down.

Angel Kyoko…..
Seeya,

It was my birthday yesterday.
I went to Kiyotaki with my senior actors and staffs.
We had a BBQ party there.

Because I don’t eat meat ( any meat, beaf, pork, nor chicken…),
they had bought sea food for me:)
I rarely do outdoor activities like picnic, BBQ, etc….
However it was really fun to eat with friends in the sun!!
I put on one-piece dress.
I thought I would be able to be in the river easily.
( If I wore jeans, they would get wet when I went in the river.)
But everyone said I looked like as if I would have gone to a cottage in a resort…
They prepared cakes for birthday people.
( there were 4 people including me who have birthday in this month.)

I had a wonderful birthday!!

When I went back to Kobe, which is my hometown,
I went to the Spa with my family.
There were many kinds of bath, carbonated bath, natural bath, solt sauna bath, etc…
The most interesting bath was this, Dr. Fish.
You put your feet in the small bath filled with small fish,
they eat the grime from your feet.
When they were eating the grime, they tickled my feet.
So I couldn’t stand to laughing.

Hello, everyone:)
How was your GW??
I went to see the play MUSASHI directed by Mr. Ninagawa.
It was about for 3 hours but no one felt it was too long.
The story was about two young Samurais, Musashi and Kogoro.
Kogoro was an enemy of Musashi.
Both of them were famous for their skill of sword fighting.
It is said that Musashi killed Kogoro by his sword, but we aren’t sure.
Kogoro could have been alived….. no one knows the truth.
This story started right after their fighting.
And it was written from the second point of view.
I didn’t know well about that history, but I enjoyed a lot.
Because I am playing Chambara,
It was really fun to see the sword fighting.
And what I was surprised was that I found out
now I can tell which is good or bad about sword fighting!!
Now ( as you know) I am playing the show with many actors who are pro-sword fighting actors.
So that I have a lot of time to see really good chambara.
This play told me that I am getting the knowledge and skill of sword fighting even little by little.
I got new treasures:)

When I work as a machimusume at Eigamura, some people ask my name.
They say my name is easy to remember,
my name sounds like a stage name and so on.
( Kyoko Nakayama is my real name.)
They often promise me to remember my name and try to find it on TV.
I am happy to hear that.
But, last time I worked there,
One question made me much happier !!
One lady came to me and asked
“Are you Kyoko Nakayama??”
I was very surprised because it was first time to be asked like that.
Then she had a photo taken with me.
I asked her why she knew my name.
She had been to Eigamura before and had asked my name.
She actually remembered my name!!!
I was too happy to stop smiling all day long.
I have been snowed under with acting jobs and part time jobs…
Even so I enjoy my life,
and today I felt I am moving up in the world little by little…he he:)

Today I got a ticket of “Musashi“.
It is also directed by Yukio Ninagawa.
( If you don’t know about him, pls check my previous page New Treasure My Treasures.)
Tatsuya Fujiwara, and Shun Oguri will play on that stage.
As you know they are so famous that it was difficult to get that ticket.
My seat is very far from the stage, but I am very excited!!
I can’t wait!!

These days there are many foreigners in Eigamura.
Yesterday I played on the stage there.
In a day we play the show four times.
There were foreigners who tried chambara on the stage all the time.
And I interpreted for them what to do.
One time, there was a boy with curly hair.
The MC asked him where he was from.
So I asked in English, but no one could understand where he was from….
The first I thought he told us the city’s name.
I should’ve asked which country he was from….I thought.
However he told us the name of the country he was from.
Belgium…?? Belgium….??
His English was very clearly to listen to,
but I didn’t know it was the name of the country in English…
(we pronounce it different way in Japanese.)
We didn’t have enough time to spend for him …
That evening I found out it was Belgium!!
I am really sorry Tobby!!
I remember the English pronounciation!!
